I met up with my good friend Stephanie from the blog She Saw Style yesterday and had such a great time seeing parts of Richmond (Virginia) I hadn’t been to before!
We started off at Lamplighter Coffee Roaster near the VCU campus, which was an adorable little neighborhood spot (and definitely instagrammable)! I didn’t realize how extensive their food menu was so I had grabbed a smoothie from The Pit and the Peel before heading there. Next we walked around the outside of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Stephanie played photographer for me 😀 I’m usually really shy about people taking my photos, but she is amazing and made me feel super comfortable! She agreed to be my model next time though 😉
I had been to the VMFA a while back for my sister’s rehearsal dinner, although it was nighttime and snowy so I had scurried by everything to stay warm! This time, though, I was definitely a littleee bit sweaty in the 95 degree heat. To escape the sweltering heat we walked around the inside of the museum (free admission) and she showed me all the coolest exhibits! One of her Instagram followers actually recognized her while we were taking photos and that was a cool little moment.
Even though she’s a Richmond native, I was actually able to take her someplace after the museum that she hadn’t been to before. We grabbed some cupcakes from Pearl’s Cupcake Shoppe, which is, funnily enough, where my sister got her wedding cake! Their gluten free items are amazing.
Yay for finding awesome friends through blogging <3

Don’t mind my fire hydrant doggie poop bag hanging off my backpack ^_^
