He’s a 9-week old Australian Shepherd and he has absolutely stolen my heart. I’ve wanted a dog for the longest time, but never imagined that I would get one that was still a puppy. When I met him though, I knew it was right. He was the runt, super gentle, and melted into my arms the first time I picked him up.
Aussies are very intelligent, so despite being just a wee little thing, he’s already learned sit, down, come, fetch, ‘say please’, and we are working on wave. Oh, and he’s been great walking on a leash right next to me! And he’s only been with me for 6 days! We are going to work on agility training as well- he has so much fun jumping over the makeshift obstacles I’ve made him so far. Most of all though, I want to get him used to all sorts of situations, so that when he turns a year old he’ll be able to register as a therapy dog.
I can already tell he’s a bit of an escape artist. He’s always wiggling his way out of places and scheming to get out his little pen (and he’s successful sometimes)! Thankfully he’s usually trailing so closely behind me that I almost trip on him!
A bit about his name- Bodhi means ‘enlightenment’ or ‘awakening’ and it is the final stage for a Buddha, which leads to the end of transmigration and leads to Nirvana.
Now onto the cuteness-
