WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE NAME SEAMLESS SEA?
Confession: I never meant to keep the name! When I decided to start a blog, I wanted to get underway as quickly as possible but I was stuck on the name. I knew I wanted something that represented my love for the beach (so cliché, I know), and a two word double “s” blog name sounded appealing to me. I scrolled through a list of “s” adjectives, and seamless jumped out at me. I didn’t think it was perfect, but I went with it (this all happened in the course of about 20 minutes, mind you). I didn’t plan on having a style blog when I started, but I suppose seamless could also be indicative of clothing seams! Seamless Sea sounded part romantic, part imaginative, and part like a place where you’d find some poetic, inspirational writer (who I apparently thought was me haha- definitely not the writing style I use!). I can’t imagine changing my name now though!
WHAT CAMERA DO YOU USE?
For my blog photos I use a Sony Alpha 7 with a Sony 55 mm Zeiss lens. My Instagram photos are a combination of a Sony Cyber Shot RX100 IV (it lets me shoot in a square- so helpful!) and my iPhone 6s!
HOW TALL ARE YOU/WHAT SIZE DO YOU WEAR?
I’m 5’10” and I generally wear a XS/S or size 2-4.
WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR SHOES?
I’m always surprised what nice comments I get on my shoes! I usually shop at Free People, Zara, Urban Outfitters, and Anthropologie for all my shoe needs 😉
WHAT MAKEUP DO YOU USE? HOW DO YOU DO YOUR HAIR?
I have all my daily makeup products listed HERE! I stick with matte, neutral shades for almost all of my products. I always do a brown smokey eye and matte lip (MAC Velvet Teddy is my HG)! I talk about my haircare routine HERE!
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR INSTAGRAM?
Take pictures of what interests you! For a while, I felt like I had to take pictures of x, y, and z in order to be a style blogger and I didn’t enjoy it like I should. As time went on, I became more comfortable posting pictures just because I loved them. You can probably tell I have a theme outside of my fashion posts though- coffee shops, the beach, flatlays, and store interiors. I think choosing a few areas outside fashion and sticking to them makes your instablog cohesive and fun! I also always use VSCO to filter my photos so they flow a little bit better than the raw image- I’m just learning as I go, like everyone else! 🙂
