How’s this for a view!?
Dolores Park, located in the Mission district of the city, is the quintessential San Francisco park. It’s full of sunbathers, people playing sports, a million dogs, a man who sells rum in coconuts out of his cart, and yes, the ever present smell of weed (haha, it’s SF, after all)! On a pretty weekend afternoon you can hardly find a spot large enough to throw down a blanket and relax. And, if you do, you’ll probably have dog after dog come up to sniff and root around your things- more than welcome!
My shoulders got way too sunburnt in this top, but it was a nice morning people watching and just enjoying the amazing view of downtown from the top of the park. A short walk from the park is a new, adorable French bakery called Le Marais, which we checked out. Verdict? Tartine (on the other side of the park) still has the best pastries in the city and probably anywhere! Unfortunately I couldn’t participate in the taste test as I’m gluten-free now, but I can definitely vouch for Tartine being drool-worthy because I used to absolutely love their croissants! I’m talking the willing-to-wait-in-line-for-40-minutes kind of love.
I’ve picked up quite a few things from Urban Outfitters recently, including this top and skirt, and it felt like the perfect thing to wear for a gorgeous day at the park. Although the clogs were a little impractical on the grass, but never mind that 🙂
