As I mentioned on Instagram yesterday, my favorite place to shop isn’t a clothing store- it’s Sephora!
It’s been that way since I was old enough to wear makeup and I think it’ll probably always be that way (I’m a VIB Rouge every year at Sephora, if that tells you anything :p)! I do love the visual aspect of styling clothing (and why I enjoy being a fashion blogger), but makeup is what makes me excited. I’m more into having a few, high-quality favorites, however, instead of collecting lots of different products and chucking them in my drawer. These products are what I’ve been reaching for on a daily basis the past few months!
KEVYN AUCOIN The Contour Book– I was sent this as part of a PR package and ended up loving it! I use all four shadows for my eyes and the powder sculpting and highlighting powders on my face (and sometimes the cream ones too). Great pigmentation and it wears well all day.
TOO FACED Shadow Insurance– I’ve tried pretty much every eye primer out there and this one has always been my favorite.
STILA Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Black– I’ve also tried a million different liners to get my signature flicked liner. Since I have hooded eyes, I need something that dries quickly and doesn’t transfer to my upper crease during the day. This thin, felt-tip liner creates a crisp line and stays opaque until I take it off!
L’OREAL Voluminous Lash Primer– I used to really like Clinique’s primer, but I’ve found this one does just as good of a job. I prime after I curl my lashes and let it dry before applying my mascara!
LANCOME Monsieur Big Mascara– This was part of a PR package as well and even though I’m super picky about my mascaras, this one has checked all the boxes. It gives a ton of volume, doesn’t flake, and is super black.
TARTE Colored Clay Tinted Brow Gel– I tint my brows at home every few weeks, but I use this to upkeep color on a daily basis. It makes my brows fuller and adds some intensity to naturally super light brows!
TARTE Shape Tape– This stuff has a cult following for a reason! It covers dark under-eyes like nobody’s business ( I don’t really have dark circles, but I do like that bright-eyed look)! Just make sure you really moisturize before applying as it has a tendency to accentuate any dry areas.
I don’t wear foundation, but instead I spot conceal and apply contour powder and blush before setting with a finishing powder.
BAREMINERALS Bareskin Concealer– The packaging was a nightmare in the beginning since it tends to squish out of the tube when you push the wand back in the first few uses, but that sorted itself out and is now one of the best blemish concealers I’ve ever had! It’s moisturizing and gives a really natural finish- super blendable too.
MAC Melba Blush– Matte and natural on my skintone. This has been a favorite for years.
HOURGLASS Dim Light Powder– A long time favorite of mine. It’s perfect for setting the entire face and can be reapplied without getting cakey.
Yeah, yeah, you all know I love MAC Velvet Teddy and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk! So I’ll include those as well! But on a daily basis I do tend to reach for marker lip tints. They’re natural, easy, and wear off well throughout the day (if you get a good one).
BOOTS NO7 Lip Stain in Sultry– Great everyday color that adds a little bit of depth to my natural lips. So natural that I can wear it to the gym and it doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything, because yes, I do wear makeup to the gym 🙂
What products are you reaching for lately? I’d love to hear!
