When Old Navy asked me to be part of their 50 Styles, 50 States campaign and show off my California-inspired look, I knew I had to share something with a little San Francisco flare!
San Francisco is definitely in its own little bubble as far as fashion and, well, pretty much anything is concerned. We’re what the rest of Californians would consider a little…unusual 😉 I’m always quick to point out that it’s the kind of city that you can be literally anyone or anything you want. You’ll be wholly accepted in your oddities and won’t be given so much as second glance- be it whether you’ve got rainbow hair, a third eye, or you’re completely in the nude! I have to say, it’s pretty spectacular!
With that being said, I wanted to pick a look that was fun and representative of San Francisco, yet also wearable outside the city limits 😉 The West Coast is known for its laid back style, even in the workplace, which I love! I chose the pants for their personality and paired it with a cozy fleece moto jacket. The cut of the jacket makes the look a bit more polished, but the fleecy material still keeps it low-key. The pants would also be great with some Converse low-tops and a band tee (don’t forget the leather jacket for your layers)! The clogs, which I mentioned in my Top Ten Fall Shoe Picks post, are so San Francisco and I’m glad I also grabbed them in tan!
If you really want to up your Cali-girl style, make sure to add some sea salt spray to your hair for some tousled waves and a healthy swipe of bronzer to your cheeks! The true key to being a Californian, however, is all in the attitude! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride because we’re all about going with the flow!
